Umbara

Umbara, informally known as the Shadow World, was a shadowy planet within the reaches of the Ghost Nebula. It was home to the Umbarans, a race of pale near-Humans.

* It has been a mere few weeks since the annexation of the Jedi Order. With the galaxy now under the iron fist of the Ultimate Alliance, Jayden Fey is free to spread his tyranny over the once free peoples of the Republic. Those that dare stand up against him are named traitors and terrorists with a constant threat of death looming over their heads. The Jedi that survived Fey's assault now make out a bleak existence as nomads, roaming the stars in search of a way to rebuild there destroyed order. Many of the Jedi have abandoned the code in order for them to fight back against the UA free of the guilt that there unorthodox methods will surely bring. It is here on Umbara, the world of Shadow hidden in the Ghost Nebula that some of these Jedi have gathered in order to plan and hide in the planets living abyss...waiting for the perfect time to strike back against the beast.

Jarik tenderly stokes the embers of the small fire he was seated in front of. He made sure to keep the flames low and smoke unseen as he waited for the others to return. Battered and bloodied, Jarik changes out the bacta patch on his side and leans back against his gear bag. Umbara had provided a great place for the order's survivors to stay under the radar and heal. But peace within the realm of shadow lasted only a few days before Jarik and the others had realized that within the hidden darkness many dangers waited for them. The messor and erou attacks kept everyone on edge, and finding the ruins of the sith academy only made things worse, not to mention the constant threat of the locals. In Jariks mind, all they had done was prolonged their inevitable defeat.

Suddenly a flicker in the force catches Jarik's attention, turning his head quickly to the left Jarik grins lightly as Aren and Rowan come through the black brush and into the light of the fire.*

" I was beginning to think you got lost"

* Aren laughs lightly as he lays down his pack and sets up the small MTA he had finished building with the spare parts he found in the Sith Ruins. Kneeling next to the fire, Aren warms his hands and gets a kettle of tea heated.*

" I was hoping a Messor would have gotten you by now "

* Grapping his pack, Aren begins to sort through the provisions and things he had gathered on his routine scouting mission, he turns on the Mobile Transmitter Array so that Karica could find their position *

* Rowan stretches his limbs and sits next to Jarik checking his freinds bandages and giving him a bit of the tea Aren had made. Sighing under his breath, Rowan looks up at the dark sky*

" This damned veil of shadow is starting to get unnerving...i haven't seen the stars in weeks. Not to mention that we lost Kel and Vang because of it "

*Karica looks down at her datapad as a beep shows up as Aren actives his Mobile Transmitter Array. She nods to the other Jedi and leaps out of the shuttle heading towards Aren's location. They darted in the shadows, only pausing for a few moment behind the weird plant like things of this world. After a few minutes of running the group comes out of the woods to become visible by the other Jedi. They were all in black robes to assist in remaining hidden. Taking the leap once again Karica walked forward.*

"I am happy to see you are fine. I will also assume you were able to keep some of are old ways going?"

* Jarik coughs spitting out a mouthful of tea as Karica bounds into view, laughing at himself and how easy he was startled Jarik waves her over *

" We are still using lightsabers....i guess that counts "

*Karica sighed heavy. That was not the reply she hopped for.*

"I guess. . . so how have you managed here? Is it a place worth investing more time into?"

* Taking another drink of tea, Jarik gingerly gets to his feet and stands before Karica*

" It has been no easy task to survive here...i wouldn't recommend it as a long term place for padawans or younger knights, but it is worth the effort "

*Karica nods understanding.*

"I understand however it must be better then the plague going across the UA no?"

* Jarik shrugs and calls a data pad to his hand with the force and hands it to Karica *

" So it seems....This is a catalog of our findings so far, maps of the area so on and so forth. Casualties are higher then we would like but it is what it is. "

*Karica takes the datapad and looks over the data.*

"I see, so it is livable here yet, we should not get used to it here. Like there is much to get used to."

*Karica then takes out a holocommunicator and it projects the picture of a contact from UA army.*



"And this what I have been up to. A group know as the Justicars have made it very clear that their goal is to kill Jayden at any cost. Their actions are less then noble however they have been feeding us good intel. Working with them I believe we can take out Jayden when he is traveling and at the same time take out the galaxy gun. That is were the issue lies thought the Justicars do not want to destroy the galaxy gun yet, they want to take it over and use it."

* Jarik rubs his bearded chin lightly things where still to unstable for him to put his faith in any plans yet *

" I am not sure we should be in contact with anyone at this point...we barely can keep it together here let alone start preparing to allie ourselves with a terrorist organization. Though the galaxy gun does peak my interests "

* Jarik takes a deep breath for he still was fatigued, he calls his tea to him with the force *

" i have heard Orin has made great progress as well, i would wait to hear his thoughts on this before i put my support behind anything"

* Aren listens closely to Karica and Jarik and then adds some more wood to the fire *

" What do the Justicars have in mind....we could still work with them but have our own plans of the destroying the galaxy gun on the side "

* An escape pod enters atmosphere and burns through the air at an alarming rate. Breaking through the dark fog like shadow that was Umbara's air, the escape pod finally slams into the ground. Flames and debris cover the area....suddenly the hatch to pod flies open and a black cloaked figure steps out of the pod. Walking calmly from the crash, the pod explodes in a maelstrom of fire behind the figure. Orin has finally made it to Umbara.....

Following the force, Orin melds into the shadow moving similar to the flight of a death eater as he makes his way towards his old comrades. After about 10 minutes Orin pulls himself from the meld and walks through the brush line, only the bottom half of his figure can be barely seen from the light of the fire. Orin speaks in dark sarcastic tone *

" Well this looks....cozy "

"All good points."

*Karica just got done saying as Orin appeared. The master had to fight off the want to sigh and looked over at Orin disapprovingly.*

"The sarcasm is in not way needed or acceptable."

*She said trying to read him. The Jedi surely seemed much darker then the last time she say him.*

* Orin looks over at Karica then shrugs as her words are meaningless to him*

" Why don't you go somewhere where you can be useful "

*Karica shook her head at Orin.*

"You win treat me with respect Orin!"

*The Grandmaster said sternly.*

"Do not act as if you are above others. The Justicars have also been telling about actions you have been rumored to have taken on Jayden's son. Sense this was not cleared through the council you know you can not take such action."

* The flames of the camp fire roar as Orin takes a step forward, his raw power within the force stoking the essence of the flames making them glisten in his eyes. *

" There is no more council, nor order to follow...you are a fool if you still believe there to be "

* Orin can now be fully seen, his black robes torn and tattered, his skin pale...his elf like ears are barely seen through his now shaggy blond hair...but no one would notice, for they would be drawn to his eyes...where everyone could see the dark depths Orin now resided in. *

" You can no longer command respect that you have not rightfully earned Karica...what you see now has happened under your leadership.**Orin points to the battered Jedi around him** We are each free to make our own path now..."

"No your not."

*Karica said stared into Orin's eyes with deep content. It worried her how close Orin seemed to the dark side now. Clearly something had been missed with him.*

"I will not let us break away from are ways. If you choose to act with out obeying are rules then you are no longer a Jedi. The Order will only live on if we stick to are principles."

* Orin sneers at Karica's words *

" If that is what you believe then all is lost "

* Jarik sighs and steps in between the two Masters *

" Save your breath for the enemy....this war is far from over "

* Jarik looks at Orin and gives him a stern nod and then he looks at Karica *

" We cannot let the order fade but we also cannot adhere to the code for the time being, we must find a clear medium and then act upon it "

* Aren stays kneeling near for the duration of the conversation. He felt no need to interject, nor did he believe he had to. For in the end it was all the will of the force, and what happens is always for reason. Aren laughs lightly as he begins to brew another pot of tea, for all the things happening in the galaxy....his biggest worry was making a good cup of tea and his freinds would rather bicker about past power then about their current position. Some things never change, he thinks to himself as he stirs in the last of gilko leaves for the tea.

It was then Jarik stood in the middle of Karica and Orin and Aren took notice. Looking over at Rowan who couldn't be more oblivious to the situation, Aren looks up at the 3 talking jedi. He grabs a branch he had taken the gilko leaves from and tosses at Orin hitting his old friend in the back. *

" Ay !! can't you see ive got the kettle on ? take a seat you cranky bugger before you sap the life out of me "

*Karica sighs lightly and nods as Jarik made it clear that neither of them were correct. She peered back at the knights and padawans realizing this would not be good for them to hear. She then laughed as Aren attempted to bring attention to the tea.*

"We seem to be at ends Master Wraith. At it is clear that we are very set in are views. Yet, it does not need to break the order; if we were to work in two separate parties though I must ask Orin how would you handle the current situation."

* Orin takes seat next to Aren, taking a mug of hot gilko tea; Orin sips lightly then looks up at Karica *

" I am not proposing we all just go haywire and begin bringing destruction with every step we take...i am just saying not all of us believe that the Jedi way is the way to confront these turn of events...."

* With each sip of tea Orin calms himself so he can speak to Karica on a level of comfort*

" There are those of us that have begun to commit terrible atrocities in the wake of Jayden's actions, many who felt a great psychic backlash at the death of so many jedi and in turn now act out of madness. This is not what i want our order to become....some mindless rabble of crazed force users. "

* Orin places his mug gently on the ground and rubs his eyes, he then takes a deep breath and continues*

" Right now the galaxy doesn't want us anymore....we need to give the people a reason to need us again. Create a problem that only the Jedi can stop...force Jayden to ask for our help. We don't have the strength to oppose him openly, even as we speak his dark hand grows longer and soon his reach will cover the entire galaxy. Thousands flock to his cause and more and more of his darkside academies are being built....."

* Orin knows that this is the point of no return and once he speaks these words he will forever pay the price for them*

" My plan is simple, I will become the reason people fear the dark....i will give you something far worse to fight then Jayden. The galaxy will once again need the Jedi and so will Jayden...in the process i will destroy him and put the Order back in place "
